Grain Trader — Soybean & Corn
We are looking for a trader to sit on the London desk covering soybean and corn — origin Brazil, destinations Europe, China, Africa. You will price and execute FOB and CIF trades under GAFTA, coordinate with the Lisbon parent for EUR-denominated contracts, and work directly with the Africa desk and the origination team in Bahia.
You probably have
- 3–8 years' experience trading grain, oilseeds or another agricultural commodity, ideally with Brazilian origin exposure.
- Working familiarity with GAFTA 64/119 contract mechanics.
- Comfort with letters of credit and trade finance structures.
- A book of counterparty relationships you can bring, or the network to build one quickly.
You will work directly with
- Head of Trading (Lisbon / London).
- Head of Origination (Bahia).
- Head of Trading, Africa (London / Accra).
- Head of Compliance (Lisbon).
