What we check before we contract
The same checklist runs on every farm at onboarding and at least annually thereafter. Where any single item fails, the farm does not enter (or is suspended from) the origination book.
- Registration in Cadastro Ambiental Rural (CAR), with polygon geo-fence on file.
- Cross-check against IBAMA and ICMBio embargo lists — clear.
- Cross-check against the Ministério do Trabalho "Lista Suja" — clear.
- PRODES and DETER satellite deforestation data at plot level — clear for the current and prior season.
- Beneficial ownership and KYC of the farm operator to at least 25% (see KYC Policy).
- Signed grower agreement including EUDR compliance representation.
- Site or video visit documented with photographs for high-tier onboarding.
- Annual re-screening in full; quarterly checks on public lists.
Field-to-port traceability
Every lot leaving the farm carries a unique ID that follows it through the storage bag or silo, weighbridge, truck ticket, terminal transfer and shipboard loading manifest. That ID is what appears on the EUDR due-diligence statement issued for shipments to the European Union. If a buyer wants to trace a specific tonne back to its polygon, we can.
